The jewel of The Blue Ridge Extreme's crown, The Century route boasts the event's most difficult challenge. Measuring at 100 miles, The Century contains over 11,000 total feet of climbing and offers two extremely challenging climbs (Cat 1 and Cat 2) up to the Blue Ridge Parkway from the town of Vesuvius and through Reed's Gap, near the Wintergreen Resort. With grades of as steep as 18% in places, this ride is not for the faint of heart. Triple chainrings, or rear cassettes with a ring of at least 27 teeth are highly recommended!
