How to commute to downtown Austin from Oak Hill and avoid 290 or any other roads not bike-friendly.

All pretty bike friendly. Coming in to town you drop down 4-500 feet,so much faster than coming home in the evening. The trick to avoiding 290 is coming in the back door of ACC Pinnacle Campus by the service road. you have to walk your bike around a locked gate as the road is normally closed to cars. More direct to take William Cannon instead of Mathews, but rush hour traffic on William Cannon is not bike-friendly. I am at Once Over coffee shop in less than an hour, but evening commute home takes more like an hour, 20 minutes..
